PURPOSE-DRIVEN CONSULTANCY
Creating Impact is a not-for-profit sustainability consultancy. We support local government, communities and purpose-driven professionals to develop ambitious strategies, re-design systems and deliver meaningful change.
Creating Impact specialises in community-led, place-based transformation. We have 3 focal areas:
- Local Government - Co-creating ambitious strategies, co-designing transformative programmes, facilitating dynamic workshops and harnessing the opportunities from devolution.
- Communities - Co-creating community-led Climate Action Plans or Nature Recovery Plans, co-designing new projects, writing funding bids and project management services.
- Purpose-Driven Professionals - 1-to-1 coaching to help change makers navigate challenges, lead with confidence and create more impact.

WORKING WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Katie, our Founder, has 10 years of experience working in local government – driving ambitious sustainability agendas forward. Most recently, Katie was the Senior Manager for Low Carbon and Environment at the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. She led the co-creation of York and North Yorkshire’s Routemap to Carbon Negative, delivery of strategic programmes and secured over £20million of funding.

01 Strategy Development: We work with stakeholders to co-create ambitious strategies that are designed to be deliverable from the outset.
02 Programme Co-Design, Partnership Building & Bid-writing: We run engaging, inclusive co‑design processes, build partnerships that enable delivery and shared ownership, and develop compelling, strategic funding bids.
03 Devolution & Policy Support: We support you to shape your devolution asks, strengthen readiness for deeper devolution, and design effective Strategic Authority sustainability/ environmental functions with clear policy alignment across departments.
04 Programme Management: We provide effective programme management, whether that’s for a temporary basis whilst you undergo recruitment, or to oversee the lifetime of a new programme.
05 Workshop Design & Facilitation: We design and facilitate strategic workshops that build alignment, support co‑design processes, and create space for constructive, honest conversations.

01 Co-create Community, Place-Based Sustainability Plans (e.g., Climate Action Plans, Nature Recovery Plans): We work together with residents and local organisations to develop grassroots “Sustainability Action Plans” that focus on specific challenges and opportunities that are important to residents (e.g., tackling climate change, nature recovery, reducing fuel poverty, minimising food waste and reducing loneliness).
02 Community Co-design & Bid-Writing: We work collaboratively with your community to co-design projects. We can then help you secure funding, so that you can move forward to deliver your project.
03 Project Management: If you’re ready to go with your project, we can provide professional project management services to ensure effective delivery and reporting.
04 Building Partnerships: We can work with you to develop a partnership of key people and organisations to deliver the change that you are seeking to create, from more informal networks to legalised joint-venture partnerships.

We provide specialist coaching for purpose-driven professionals. Coaching can help your teams overcome specific challenges, lead with confidence and manage high workloads more effectively.
1-to-1 Coaching Programme
A programme of coaching sessions curated around your needs. We will work together to unlock barriers and create space for reflection, clarity, and action. You’ll come away with new tools, skills and powerful new mindsets.
My approach to coaching balances having the flexibility of an open space to raise topics as they emerge, whilst also providing the structure to systematically work towards your goals and ensure you feel that you are making progress week to week.
