RAH Consultancy has unrivalled expertise in the interpretation of the UK Water Regulations.
We are specialist consultants to the water industry; since our foundation we have advised on the design, testing and compliance of water products and water fittings including taps, valves and water systems.
RAH Consultancy was founded in 2004 by Richard Hurst who is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and has over 25 years experience within the Water Industry. RAH Consultancy was set up with the principle goal of creating one of the UK’s most renowned and highly regarded Water Engineering Consultancy firms.
During the last 14 years RAH Consultancy has been heavily involved in major engineering projects such as the overseeing and inspection of the entire water system of the South Bank Tower in London. As a water industry expert we have provided consultancy for leading law firms such as Slater & Gordon, including receiving instructions in several important cases regarding legionellosis. Richard Hurst, RAH's principle has written a number of significant articles for CIPHE and The Solicitors Journal.

RAH offers independent expert advice to Installers, Users and Manufacturers of Water Devices used in connection to and operation within the Public Water Supply. This is particularly relevant where these devices come within the remit of The UK “Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations”, and The UK “Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations”. This advice may relate to Product Design, Installation, or Fitness for Purpose.
RAH Consultancy has a long history of gaining regulatory approvals for both international and national (British) approval requirements. We have experience of gaining these approvals since 1989. Those most common UK approvals are for Water Regulations compliance, and the Anti Scalding testing laid down for Domestic and Healthcare premises under the requirements for Type 2 and Type 3 valves.
RAH has undertaken duties as party appointed expert, single joint expert and expert adviser. He fully subscribes to the CJC Experts Protocol and understands his duty to act independently, with reasonable skill and care to his clients, and that his overriding duty is to help the court. RAH Consultancy is listed with the National Expert Witness Agency.
