Marlin was founded in October 1994. We achieved NICEIC approval in 1997 and ECA approval in 2000 which created new routes to market. We then opened our first office in Guildford Surrey and formed the design team and the electrical engineering team.
Since then Marlin has continued to grow its commercial Electrical division running parallel to the Home Automation division and is now one of Surreys leading Electrical & Mechanical Contractors.
Commercial Services
Marlin has completed some outstanding projects over the last thirty years, examples such as a new district main heating/cooling system at Woking leisure centre, a new Eco friendly green energy building at the new Midhurst leisure centre using Biomass boilers mixed with gas boilers demonstrate Marlins capabilities to deliver some of the more complex systems.
We have over the years carried out an incredible array of projects both complex and straightforward, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent service and finished project on time and on the budget agreed.
Our successes have been through retaining the same staff over the last twenty plus years, many employees today have been part of our initial training scheme which started in 1996, and today underpin the core values instilled during their training.

Industrial Services
Over the last 30 years we have delivered a number of very interesting industrial projects, Marlin were employed by Pinzgauer, a military vehicle manufacturer to unpack a full vehicle assembly line from Austria and re-instate into a new location in Fareham and Guildford, an incredibly interesting project which was very successful and rewarding. Domestic Services
Marlin has an unparalleled volume of completed projects over the last thirty four years across the spectrum of property types from entry level properties, to apartment blocks housing estates to High end residential, whilst Care homes are considered commercial the installations are typically domestic in their wiring methods. We have completed more than twenty five care homes throughout the south of England.
