Irwin Mitchell was formed in 1912 in Sheffield and has steadily grown to cover the whole of the UK. We now operate from a network of 7 offices - Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle & Sheffield – and have 110 Partners and 2,300 staff. Recent press coverage described Irwin Mitchell as “a legal powerhouse”.

The Public Sector Law Team
For public sector law, Irwin Mitchell has built a strong team of dedicated specialists. The Associate Director in charge of the team, Michael Longden, has many years of experience advising clients on - and enabling - joint ventures, procurements, outsourcings, corporate deals, negotiations and disputes in - and in relation to - anything to do with the public and voluntary sectors and their complex and ever changing regulatory frameworks.
