The firm was founded by Karen Hargrave who is a highly regarded construction legal specialist with over 20 years’ experience in top 50 law firms. The firm’s aim is to provide a commercially minded high level service to clients to support the delivery of a construction project on time and within budget.
K H Legal offer bespoke services tailored to client’s individual needs which include:

Karen Hargrave specialises in construction and engineering law. Providing contractual advice to all levels in the supply chain, she develops strong working relationships with clients so they see her as part of the team rather than just a legal advisor. Highly regarded within the construction industry, Karen supports clients throughout the life cycle of the project with the highest levels of focus and attention to detail ensuring project runs smoothly.
With over twenty years’ experience of construction and engineering law, gained in two top 50 law firms at Director level, Karen takes a commercial and pragmatic approach in the negotiation of construction documentation. She advises clients on the full package of construction and engineering documents including development agreements, building and engineering contracts with schedules of amendments, professional appointments, collateral warranties, bonds, parent company guarantees and novation agreements.
Karen has extensive experience in advising on PBSA / BTR residential schemes, hotel developments, mixed use and commercial developments, industrial units/warehouses, supermarkets, sports grounds, University projects, office, retail and school developments.
Karen qualified as a Barrister and then took the QLTT to become a solicitor in 2002.
