We are Print-Leeds, a specialist printing house producing labels – wet glue and self-adhesive, packaging, UV Litho and digital print. Our expertise is unrivalled, as is the quality of our work, attention to detail and customer service.  We believe in investing in new technology and have invested around £7m in new machinery in the last five years, making us one of the most technically advanced printers in the UK.

And it doesn’t stop there; we have just invested £1m in new equipment for our newly launched self-adhesive label division; a digital press and specialist finishing equipment.  Another evolution for Print-Leeds. Read more about us

LABELS

Look no further for your label printing requirements as we are label printing experts.

Print-Leeds has over a decade of label printing experience and we print both self-adhesive and wet-glue (paper) labels with around 200 million labels leaving our factory every year.

To us this product is not just a label – it’s an important piece of branding that adds value by ensuring a product stands out from the crowd.

Labels can be found on just about every product from food to nutraceuticals.  These come in all shapes and sizes and printed on numerous different materials from paper, polypropylene, biodegradable, wash off and the latest range of ‘ethical materials’.

Most importantly we help clients make the most of their labels as we offer a label solution consultancy service.

Including:

UV LITHO

Print-Leeds produces the finest quality UV Litho print in seven colours with coating in one pass up to 800 microns onto polypropylene, rigid PVC, self-cling, mark resistant PVC, polystyrene, self-adhesive vinyl, weldable PVC, PET, HIP, folding box board, foil paper and boards, and synthetic papers, with a maximum sheet size of 1020mm x 720mm and at a maximum speed of 16,500 sheets an hour.

Much of this work is POS and POP for retail. Our clients are advertising agencies, design companies, high street retailers, manufacturers, household brands and other printers.  We also print cards including scratch cards.

DIGITAL

We can produce the marketing collateral to enhance your brand – banners up to 1600mm wide by any length, vinyl stickers up to 1600mm wide by any length, paper posters 1800mm wide by any length, kiss-cut stickers, vinyl lettering, decals, Correx and Foamex panels, wallpaper and even canvasses up to 1200mm x 2500mm. Not to mention posters, exhibition displays, signage, stationery and general promotional print.  Whatever your visual graphics challenge we can advise.

Our flat-bed digital printer has a maximum print size of 3100mm x 1600mm and can print on a range of rigid materials – plastics, board, mirri board up to 50mm thick.

FOILING

Hot foil printing is the perfect finishing touch for labels and packaging – used to enhance traditional litho print, it gives a quality look with added shelf appeal – ensuring your brand stands out from the crowd and enhancing brand perception.

What is hot foiling?

Hot foil printing is the addition of foil to an existing printed sheet. A unique die, which is created for each job, stamps the foil onto the printed sheet. This process is normally combined with embossing or debossing to produce a three dimensional image.

Our expert foilers can advise at the design stage and share the art of the possible. They will also advise on the type of foils – most people just think of gold and silver but there are numerous different shades, satins and effects available which can create a stunning look to enhance your brand.

Foil does not have any universal pantone reference and each manufacturer makes it differently. However you’re in safe hands at Print-Leeds as our team knows where to buy the best and most cost effective material from and they understand the complexity of this substrate.

PACKAGING

Packaging has really evolved.  It’s become a multi-million pound industry as luxury brands vie for the ultimate ‘shelf’ appeal.

At Print-Leeds we supply print to packaging and box companies.  Our label business is an integral part of our packaging print offering – we print gang labels and wraps for tubes and boxes.  Besides labels, we can print up to B1 size sheet fed litho laminates – printed sheets that are laminated to folding box board which is then die cut for cosmetic and confectionary packaging.  We can also print onto folding box board which is die cut directly.

We print composite tube gang labels that are supplied to composite tube manufactures.  These are gangs of multiple labels that are wound onto cardboard cans and tubes during the manufacturing process for a variety of packaging uses.

Litho printed outer wraps are another type of print for packaging that we supply to chocolate bar manufacturers to wrap around foil wrapped chocolate.

All of the above can be printed conventionally or UV Litho print in low migration/low odour inks and varnish that are suitable for secondary packaging food use, all in line with the BRC accreditation that we hold.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Climate change is on our business agenda and we operate a strict environmental policy for disposing of all our waste.  All the waste material and chemicals are recycled or disposed of by specialist companies, our plates and pallets are recycled and waste is kept to a minimum both in the factory and in our offices.

We are constantly researching new substrates and eco-friendly products as part of this remit.  Watch this space as we source environmentally friendly substrates from around the world and bring them first to our customers such as the 100% recyclable paper.  Print-Leeds is committed to helping save the planet.

We are accredited with environmental international standard ISO 14001 which recognises the actions of responsible businesses in managing and controlling their environment.   It also helps us support our customers with their environmental policies, reduce costs by decreasing waste material and other resources such as energy, water and paper.  We have installed electric charging points for our staff and customers plus a low energy factory lighting system – all this enhances our reputation as an environmentally responsible company, keeping us at the leading edge of the market.
