Our company started in early 2013 with a passion for 3D printing and all things techy. Four years on (now 2017) and we still have that same feeling of excitement, when we see our own 3D printers making something from plastic string! Maybe like you, we still find ourselves sitting and watching, mesmerised whilst the printer is creating something either we have downloaded or have designed ourselves.

Sure you may find other sites that sell filaments at a price similar to ours, but check out the costs of delivery and you will see the difference, we offer FREE DELIVERY in the UK on all our filaments, the price that you see is the price that you pay. We are also UK VAT registered and are fully insured for all our product and commercial liabilities.

Our aim is to offer you a personalised professional 3D printing service for the best price possible.
Before you get started, please note that the printers we use employ the FDM technique. which means they stack layer upon layer of plastic material, starting from the bottom of the platform. Which means you will get the best results with straight or pyramid shape objects. Complex objects can be printed but there is the possibility that more pre-production work and additional support material may be required. However you can contact us at 3dhubs@3dfilaprint.com and we will be more than happy to discuss your requirements in more detail. As for materials, we are the UK’s No. 1 Filament providers, with 4 years filament handling experience and a wide range of materials, which you can view below. Our default settings for printing are:
- -0.1 MM Layer Height (Can be change on request);
- -0.8mm shell thickness (or depends on the print/object needs);
- -20 percent infill( or best suited for the print);
- Any settings that are different might lead to higher costs, we'll let you know.
You can choose from filaments that are specially designed for engineering, automotive, medical use, materials which have been classed as food safe within the USA (FDA approved), biodegradable or Anti-Bactericidal. Alternatively if you are looking for design work we can offer you’re the very best. Our design team have years of experience in using design tools such as Z-Brush, Blender, Openscad, Solidworks and 3D studio Max.
