Government and local authorities
Government and local authoritiesSecure print and electronic payments solutions from the TALL Group are well established in central government and local authority applications, both in the UK and internationally. The provision of cheques and credits are frequently recommendations made by the Local Authority’s bankers, with whom the TALL Group will typically have a longstanding relationship. Fully accredited under the C&CCCo (Cheque & Credit Clearing Company) Cheque and Credit Printer Accreditation Scheme (CPAS), the Group manages the design, bank approval, inclusion of security features, print, production and storage.
Where cheque receipt is a feature of the organisation’s payment collections activity, the installation of the Checkprint Banking Assistant, an automated cheque image scanning, archive, validation, reconciliation and upload tool is frequently implemented. With the introduction, in 2016, of cheque truncation in the UK, this application is increasingly relevant to Local Authorities, where accelerated cheque clearing can be achieved at the lowest possible cost.
Automated Cheque Issuance, Bacs and Faster Payments and Direct Debit collections are fully supported with the Integrated Payments suite of products and services, either installed on site, or provided through the fully accredited Bureau Services. The latter also provides a comprehensive contingency service to numerous large organisations such as government and local authorities.
Education certificatesThe TALL Group’s secure print facilities provide the Education sector with the opportunity to make significant savings in the print, production and personalisation of Awards Certificates, provided to awarding bodies, schools, colleges and Universities in the UK and Internationally.
Under the ISO 27001 Information Management Systems Standard, all customer data is carefully and securely managed, to ensure the risk of loss of data, or fraudulent usage, is removed, and the entire Certificate production and personalisation process can be handled as a fully outsourced service, under the control of print and data management professionals.
Cheque usage continues to be a feature of the Education sector, whether issued as a payment for goods or services, or in receipt of payments for courses, trips, ancillary services etc. The use of automated cheque imaging, building a searchable archive for all record keeping and reconciliation, is increasingly popular amongst schools, colleges and universities.
The introduction of image based cheque clearing in the UK, in the Autumn of 2017, will see the Checkprint Banking Assistant fully integrated to the UK Cheque Clearings, reducing the cost of cheque deposits, as no visit to the bank branch will be required for organisations participating in Remote Deposit Capture, by agreement with their bank.
