At Greenworld Solutions our AIM is to deliver the most cost effective energy efficiency solutions for your business, with the highest potential returns on investment.

We will look at every aspect of your energy spend, identify areas for efficiency improvements, and deliver them for you in a simple and cost effective process.

We do this by offering a full turnkey solution, usin our own in house Energy Monitoring System, working directly with manufacturers of quality energy efficient products such as LED lighting, Solar PV; and battery storage systems. Installation is carried out by our own in-house team of professional engineers.

TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS

Monitoring

We have our own bespoke monitoring system which can monitor anything from electricity usage, generation & exporting (with PV), and also gas and water usage. We recommend this system to all of our clients as it gives real time half hourly data on the buildings performance.

The system will allow the client to see current usages and trends, and of course on going usage after any new energy efficient technology has been installed. This allows the client to see true cost savings from the new technologies.

Additionally the monitoring system can be used as an energy saving tool in itself, and is useful for 'changing habits & behaviour'. For example it shows at exactly what time of day and which day of the week utilities are being consumed, if lights are being left on over night for example or heating is coming on at the weekend when the building is closed. These simple behavioural changes that our monitoring system can identify have a massive impact on annual energy costs.
Successful energy management starts with a sound metering strategy. All organisations need fiscal meters (the meters on which bills are paid). In addition, submetering enables you to understand where your energy is being consumed – for example, on a particular building or floor, or in a specific manufacturing process. From design to commissioning we provide full turnkey smart metering solutions.

Live data is delivered directly to your desktop, mobile and tablet through our bespoke software system. Flags can be sent that trigger alerts via email or SMS for abnormal usag

  • Insight & inclusion in the design – We work to your needs, from controllable switching, to dimming, sensor & emergency options – through the correct colour temperature for your working environment.

Solar Photovoltaic

The sun provides an abundant, free source of clean energy in the form of natural light and warmth so why not use it? Solar panels catch the free energy directly to convert sunlight into electricity using solar photovoltaic (PV) panels.

Solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays are a fantastic investment usually giving returns of between 10-15% year on year for 20 years. We have firsthand experience of large commercial installations and domestic systems alike. As a result, we are extremely skilled at delivering solar PV projects of different sizes, designs and specifications. At the time of writing our solar installations in the UK have generated an estimated 900 Megawatts of power, saving an estimated 500 tonnes of Co2. Our solar installations are extremely competitively priced offering the best ROI's as we provide a full turnkey solution by working directly with manufacturers through to delivering the final installation.

Solar PV offers three key benefits
Generation tariff: your energy supplier will pay you a set rate for each unit (or kWh) of electricity you generate. Once your system has been registered, the tariff levels are guaranteed for the period of the tariff (up to 20 years) and are index-linked.

Export tariff: you will get a further 4.77p/kWh from your energy supplier for each unit you export back to the electricity grid, so you can sell any electricity you generate but don't use yourself. This rate is the same for all technologies.

Energy bill savings: you will be making savings on your electricity bills because generating electricity to power your appliances means you don't have to buy as much electricity from your energy supplier. The amount you save will vary depending how much of the electricity you use on site.

Until recently it was not possible to store energy generated by solar installations. We are now in a position to offer battery storage solutions that enables our clients to harvest and store energy generated from the solar system, that can be stored and used when the solar is not generating (eg night time).

Battery Storage Systems

Our battery storage system integrates smart Energy Management System controller (EMS), hybrid inverter and battery modules. This system can be used not only for new PV installation, but also can retrofit into an existing PV system. Thanks to intelligent EMS and Battery Management System (BMS), our storage systems make it possible for end users to use the PV generated electricity not only during the sunlight hours but also during the evening and night.

Biomass

If you are considering replacing your current heating system with a more cost effective and energy efficient system, please let us explain why a Biomass boiler system installed by Greenworld Solutions will not only meet your heating requirements, but will generate a financial income with the RHI and reduce your carbon footprint

Key Benefits:

  • Reduced running costs
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Sustainable source of fuel
  • Renewable Heat Incentive

What is a biomass boiler?
A Biomass boiler heats the wood fuel to a combustible temperature which then ignites the natural gases within the wood thus generating heat. Because of this process there is very little ash produced, so it is a very clean and efficient way of burning wood fuel. Most biomass boilers are at least 90% efficient and because of the burning process are classed as carbon neutral.

Can the biomass boiler be installed onto my existing heating system?
There may be other heating components required, but a biomass boiler can be easily installed on any existing heating system and it will be fully controllable suited to your heating and domestic hot water demands.

What is the RHI?
RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) is a government backed scheme that pays the customer for the amount of energy generated by the Biomass boiler. The scheme has two phases. Phase one is for non-domestic properties and phase two is for domestic.

Heat Pumps

One of the advantages of heat pumps is that because they move heat rather than creating it by burning oil or gas, they are much more efficient with average savings of over 60% for ground source heat pumps and 40% for air source heat pumps. As a result, a heating system using heat pumps will provide a realistic return on investment over a much shorter period of time.

Combating unstable oil prices
Oil prices are susceptible to large price hikes, particularly during the winter when you need your heating the most. Heat pumps totally remove this problem providing cost-effective, reliable heating whenever you need it. Heat pumps also remove the dependency on unreliable fuel deliveries which can be further delayed during adverse weather conditions – just two more examples of the advantages of heat pumps.

Increased efficiency
The efficiency of heat pumps is beyond question. For every 4kW of heat moved into your house via ground source heat pumps, only 1kW of electricity is consumed. This gives a perceived efficiency of 400%, sometimes stated as a Co-efficient Of Performance (COP) of 4:1. In the case of air source heat pumps, you can expect a COP of 3:1 which while slightly lower, is a still a huge improvement on boilers which have only around 75% to 80% efficiency rates over their lifespan truly demonstrating the advantages of heat pumps*.

Grant schemes for Heat Pumps
There are a number of renewable energy grants which you may be able to benefit from when installing heat pumps including the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI)
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) which launched in April 2014 aims to provide further air source heat pump advantages and ground source heat pump advantages by making payments to owners of these systems for the energy they produce, much like the Feed-in-Tariff for Solar Photovoltaic (Solar PV) systems. Payments are tax-free, index-linked and last for a period of seven years.

No scheduled maintenance
Heat pumps are extremely reliable with minimal regular maintenance required. Our heat pumps have a planned life span of 25 years with no loss of efficiency which again demonstrates one of the many advantages of heat pumps especially when compared to boilers which can lose up to 2% efficiency for each year of operation and have a usable life span of only around 12 years.
