High Peak Borough Council

The Challenge 

When the Electoral Services team at High Peak Borough Council were preparing their election stationery for their upcoming campaign, they wanted to ensure that the postal vote packs were produced in a simpler format, therefore more user friendly.

After receiving new guidelines from the Electoral Commission regarding the style of the electoral stationery, and with recent upgrades to their electoral software that manages and sorts the data files, the tram found themselves having to go right back to the start planning their campaign.

Although the team had originally proofed all the postal packs, transferred test data and gone through rigorous checking of data, they wanted to ensure they chose a reliable company to confidently work with

Xpress Software Solutions, their electoral software system, in assuring the election campaign ran smoothly. 

The election stationery required included postal vote packs, poll cards and ballot papers.

The Solution 

High Peak Borough Council had worked with Paton Brown in previous years and found us extremely helpful.

Paton Brown Election Services had not worked with the Xpress electoral software previously, but having an exceptional in-house IT team and evidence of previous tasks completed successfully, the decision was made to work alongside us.

We therefore reviewed the current postal vote packs to ensure the requests of the client were delivered, making the packs simpler and more user friendly.
