About Us
ProMove UK Ltd was established in 2007 by (the now late) Dr Huw Thomas and current director Dana Thomas.
The ProMove sling was designed by Dr. Huw Thomas, initially for his own manual handling needs. The company was subsequently established to manufacture and market the sling.
The sling is manufactured in the UK, allowing a close relationship between production and sales ensuring the highest possible standards of quality.
ProMove believes that the equipment it designs and creates should overcome disabilities, should be well designed and made with due care and attention. The ProMove sling is hand crafted by a skilled and dedicated team who are genuinely passionate about quality. The team work to international standards of production and safety – that is what is behind the products CE and UK CA accreditation.
Products
The ProMove Sling is used as a manual transferring and/or repositioning sling to transfer a disabled or incapacitated individual from one position or location to another seated position. The sling creates a bucket shaped seat to transfer the user, with the assistance of operators / care givers and using the handles located on the sling.
The sling is available in different sizes for children from aged three (3), through to large sized adults and bariatric (including super-bariatric) patients. Using the slings will enable a safer, more comfortable and dignified transfer for the individual and reduce risk of potential injury.
