ABOUT US
Remedium is on a mission to solve the UK healthcare staffing crisis.
To date, we have placed over 3,000 permanent clinicians across 100 NHS trusts, allowing our clients to save an estimated £300 million in agency locum spend.
Remedium was founded in 2013, with the single vision of reducing excessive NHS agency locum spend.
A true disruptive force in the industry; never before had a business in our space shunned expensive temporary doctors in favour of a sole focus on the placement of permanent and fixed-term clinicians.
However, we were, and still are, a bespoke recruitment consultancy with a difference. As grateful beneficiaries of a British healthcare system which remains free at the point of service for all, we are completely dedicated to our mission of solving the UK healthcare crisis – so that our friends, family, children and grandchildren can continue to access healthcare as a fundamental right, irrespective of their socio-economic circumstances. We are, therefore, immensely proud that our permanent-only approach to recruitment has not only reduced NHS staffing costs by £350 million, but has also led to improved efficiency across the service and has provided patients with a more consistent quality of care.
We know that an aging UK population, coupled with an increasing disease burden and increasingly uncertain funding, means that the NHS is likely to face a future of soaring demand for clinical staffing. Therefore, over time, we have expanded our capabilities to go beyond the ‘see-role-fill-role’ transactional recruitment practices. In addition to our fixed-term and substantive recruitment services, we are now using our consultancy expertise to build and implement strategies that allow our clients to prepare adequately for the challenges that lay ahead.

The staffing gap in the NHS has reached 50,000 vacancies. This is projected to reach 250,000 by 2030.
