GD Harries is one of Wales’s largest independent suppliers of aggregates and a civil engineering company delivering multimillion pound infrastructure projects.
Situated in West Wales, we own seven granite, limestone and sandstone quarries, three asphalt plants, eight concrete plants and our own sea transportation port at Pembroke Dock.
Originally established as a small haulage and plant hire operator in 1977, GD Harries has continually invested in our local workforce and where possible work with local suppliers in the region. In 2020 we became part of SigmaRoc, a specialist quarrying group who invest in high quality quarries throughout Europe to extract low and high grade materials for use in construction, agriculture, environmental and industrial applications. GD Harries is the cornerstone for SigmaRoc’s Welsh platform.
The business operates in two operating divisions:
Construction materials
We supply quarried materials, stone, concrete, Readymix and tarmac for construction and highway maintenance projects as well as polished and decorative aggregates for domestic customers.
Construction services
We are involved in major civil engineering projects including road surfacing. With a workforce of 240 employees, we are capable of delivering multimillion pound infrastructure projects and can supply the majority of the labour as well as the materials from our own resources. Our employees are skilled in road surfacing, paving and utilities works.

We want to be the leading partner for supplying aggregates, delivering infrastructure and building environments that generate measurable benefits to our clients and the communities in which we live and operate.
We deliver all our products using our specialist fleet of vehicles. For certain products or locations, we also deliver by sea from our own port at Pembroke Dock.
We are accredited by the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Quality and Environmental Management Standards. We pride ourselves on our technical expertise, our commitment to safety and sustainability, and the highest levels of quality. We are involved from planning to delivery and are on hand to provide practical solutions to issues as they arise.
