Welcome to 2D Contractors
2D Building Contractors was established in 2011 and has been growing year on year. Our offices are based in Pontyclun, South Wales. We specialise in refurbishment and planned maintenance, covering a range of industry sectors including Healthcare, Local Authorities, Education, and Government projects such as Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence. Our scope of work has an extensive range comprising projects up to the value of £1 million.
We pride ourselves on the quality of service we provide which stands us apart from other contractors. Our aim is to remove the pressure from our clients and be completely autonomous in our project progression.
We carry a substantial variety of tradespeople that we utilise across all sectors. We undertake all aspects of building work including, but not limited to, groundworks, masonry, plastering, drylining, carpentry, painting and decorating, tape and jointing, plumbing, roofing, mechanical and electrical, flooring etc. Read more about us
FIRAS
2D Building Contractors are proud to be third party accredited with the FIRAS scheme which allows us to certify the fitting of timber fire doors and the maintenance of fire doors. We have an in-house team of supervisors and technicians who specialise in these elements.
Fire Door Installation
The fitting of fire doors is a complex procedure and requires experienced and fully certified installers. Our specialist team at 2D Building Contractors will install fire doors to the manufacturer’s fitting instructions and our rigorous inspection process ensures the doors perform to the correct standards as intended in the event of a fire.
We have installed a range of fire doors in numerous settings including education, government and health sectors. Our clients are presented with a FIRAS certificate of conformity once installation has been completed.
Fire Door Maintenance
The maintaining of fire doors is an absolute necessity due to their regular use causing them to wear down over time. 2D Building Contractors are able to upgrade any part of the door that you require in order to maintain its working order. We can carry out the maintenance as a result of a fire risk assessment or from our client’s own instruction.
We will issue a certificate of conformity of the elements we have maintained and supply the client with this.
