We offer a personal, partner-led service to all clients, with the commitment to develop a close, creative and collaborative relationship with all members of the project team.
HMH Architects are an RIBA Chartered practice and can provide a full range of Architects services in accordance with the RIBA Plan of Work, covering all aspects of Work Stages 1 – 7, from feasibility designs to handover of completed buildings.
Our experience in design, detailing and construction enables us to respond with knowledge to our Client's differing demands of many types of building projects across a full range of sectors. This includes new build and refurbishment projects in Residential, Supported and Sheltered Housing, Community, Education, Commercial and Leisure.
Together with our design experience, technical knowledge and integrated CAD design ability, our adoption of BIM protocols enables us to provide comprehensive, co-ordinated construction information, reducing risk, promoting build-ability and enabling realistic build costs to be obtained and maintained.
In addition to our technical services HMH Architects are experienced in project managing a wide variety of tendering, procurement options to deliver your project to the market and through the construction period, including Traditional tendering, Design and Build and Partnering contracts, whilst achieving the quality project delivery our Clients expect.

hmh architects have significant experience of refurbishment and regeneration projects. We have built up a breadth of knowledge and expertise working on a range of projects, from large-scale master planning of mixed-use developments, refurbishment and conversion of existing, historical and listed buildings.
With our in-house Passivhaus and energy assessor skills and accreditations, we are able to adapt the new build criteria to suit existing buildings and provide solutions for reducing carbon emissions.
hmh architects can help Clients with large property portfolios to maintain, manage and plan maintenance work, with space, access and energy audits, to assess the long-term fitness for purpose and use of the building for decades to come.
We have the experience needed to enable us to assess more accurately the scope of work required at an early stage which informs a better cost estimate and viability options for a proposal.
BIM (BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING)
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is the process of creating and managing both 3D (model, drawings) and 2D information (schedules, specifications) throughout the buildings lifecycle. A key output of the process is the Building Information Model, co-ordinated with the client, design team, contractor and end user, to create a 3D representation of all aspects of the building.

BIM Level 2 - Project Information Manager (PIM)
We are able to provide full BIM Level 2 services for our clients as Lead Consultant, BIM Project Information Manager and BIM Co-ordinator's. As part of these roles we are able to provide:
- A data-rich, co-ordinated, 3D Building Information Model.
- Clash detection.
- 3D visualisation to assist consultation and planning applications.
- Common Data Environment information exchange.
hmh architects are able to tailor our services and can offer both BIM Level 1 and Level 2 compliant services, which offer additional benefits to the client, such as greater Asset Management information, through the use of COBie.
As early adopters of Building Information Modelling software from 2006, when we invested in Autodesk Revit. We continue to invest in BIM, with software subscriptions and staff training.
We promote an open and progressive learning environment, encouraging discussion, to ensure the quality of our BIM delivery. We host regular meetings to discuss project specific issues, as well as review experiences to provide greater advancement in BIM related tasks and technology.

Working in a BIM environment allows us to simultaneously produce traditional drawings as well as 3D visualisations. For specific projects we are able to provide photo realistic renders, either directly or with our partners, as well as building Walkthrough animations, and Virtual Reality (VR) panoramas and live interactive models.
