Back in 2007, Irishman and former Commercial Banker Brendan O’Shea made the decision to carve out a planet-conscious career and start a London-based clearance company with a strong social and environmental purpose. Since its inception as a small house clearance company in Kingston upon Thames, with a single truck manned by Brendan himself for the first nine months, Just Clear steadily grew to become one of the UK’s largest clearance and waste services. Today, the company has gained national recognition for its low carbon ‘zero-to-landfill’ mission and carries out hundreds of clearances and waste services – ranging from simple to complex - every month.
How we work
Just Clear operates a nationwide model, meaning that we can cover every major town and city in the UK – there is always a local Just Clear close by. This way of working also means that we can deliver speedy response times, a locally knowledgeable team, and significantly reduce the overall miles travelled per contract, ensuring that both us and our customers reduce carbon emissions and contribute locally with high social value outcomes.
Our digital platform enables us to closely monitor service levels across even the most complex or multi-region contracts, tracking waste destinations, and keeping customers updated in real time and fully transparently.
Just Clear’s extensive resources, network and expertise mean we can clear most waste types, from most locations, on the same day or a day of your choice. We are used to working with high security and multi-site customers and take time to fully understand the nuances and complexities of requirements, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste, electrical waste clearance, metals, batteries, clinical, vehicle and bulky waste, along with recycling and bespoke.
All of the above is proudly reflected in our company name. Not only does Just Clear relate to ‘clear’ or ‘clearance’ which is our core service – our name has evolved from the actual translation of the individual words themselves: ‘Just’ meaning justice or fairness, and ‘Clear’ referring to our transparent and direct approach.
