About Us

 

Shared Purpose is a research-based communications consultancy with a specialism in best-practice approaches and thought leadership. We deploy a network of best-in-class, straight-talking, curiosity-driven professionals brought together by a passion for meaningful change.

We are experts in helping clients communicate about complex issues and engage internal and external stakeholders effectively – to solve problems and be seen as thought leaders.

What we mean by ‘shared purpose’ is helping clients to take a socially responsible approach to the issues impacting their organization, supporting them to identify and own a social purpose which delivers on a shared mutual interest with key stakeholders and delivering 360o crowdsourcing of data points to co-create an authentic social purpose and approach to issues management.

At Shared Purpose, we take into account culture as a definer of relationships and influence. We build long-term, collaborative relationships with our clients instead of the transactional and impersonal approach so common amongst the big agencies.

RESPONSIBLE MARKETING

Our team helped a principled company deliver on its leadership ambition on the issue of marketing food and drinks responsibly in an era of growing childhood obesity. We supported them to figure out the way to make a difference, get others to follow and be recognised as a leader.

The Shared Purpose team has worked on the issue of responsible marketing for a combined 25 years.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Our team supported a prominent purpose-led company to refresh its brand purpose by infusing it with impact and meaning for stakeholders and consumers alike. We worked with some of the world’s biggest experts on child development and helped launch a movement to spark consumer and stakeholder action.

Supported the development of the first holistic child development guidelines for parents.

MALNUTRITION

Our team supported a leading FMCG company to identify a social purpose aligned with its business and scientific activities. We helped to formulate a POV on how to deliver impact in the most credible, effective way, combining existing CSR initiatives and platforms.

Developed a cohesive corporate purpose on malnutrition, combining existing CSR initiatives and platforms.

STEPHANIE LVOVICH
STRATEGY

Stephanie Lvovich is the CEO and co-owner of Shared Purpose. Before founding Shared Purpose, Stephanie served as the global chair of public affairs at Edelman.  She has more than 23 years of public affairs and political research experience and specializes in multi-market issue advocacy and organisation positioning including thought leadership, issue-based communications and issue advocacy. Prior to joining Edelman, Stephanie worked for APCO Worldwide in London for nearly nine years where she built and managed APCO Worldwide’s global Food & Consumer Products practice internationally as well as the firm’s new business function for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.  In 2006, she joined APCO Worldwide after serving as the Managing Director for EU Public Affairs for Citigate Global Consulting Group overseeing their London and Brussels teams. Stephanie has authored articles in the field of international public affairs and corporate reputation and was honoured by HRH Queen Elizabeth in 2003 as a Pioneer to the Life of the Nation. She is also an active presenter and moderator at international conferences.

LIDIA BORISOVA
INSIGHT AND IMPACT

Lidia Borisova is a Director and one of the founders of Shared Purpose. Lidia is passionate about ensuring that issues management and social purpose programmes are positively impactful in their outcomes for all stakeholders in society. Throughout her career, Lidia has advised clients in a number of areas, including international public affairs, multi-market issues management, thought leadership positioning and global strategy development. Lidia has extensive experience supporting organisastions to engage on the issue of obesity in an effective, socially responsible way at national, regional and global level, including her work for Mars and a national UK sports promotion charity. Before founding Shared Purpose, Lidia held global roles in the communications agencies Edelman and APCO Worldwide. She also worked as Development Director for a national UK charity focused on childhood obesity, physical and mental wellbeing.
