About me

I’m a communications and brand consultant with a background in youth and health organisations.

  • I’ve spent the last 15+ years leading communications and marketing in-house and freelance for large and small charities, government endowments, start-ups, scale-ups, and grant-makers. I’ve created new brands from scratch, managed brand refreshes, full rebrands and name changes.  
  • I specialise in brand and communications strategy but also love creating innovative content and writing crystal clear copy to catch an audience’s attention and keep it. 
  • I’ve been described as ‘sunshine personified (but without the sunburn)’! I always approach any challenge with a focus on the solutions and the positive energy to tackle them.

  • I have a knack for seeing a simple path through complexity and I’m not afraid to ask you tough (and sometimes basic!) questions in the hunt for clarity and simplicity in your comms.
  • I spend time getting to know the communications issue you’re trying to solve and gather insights from your team, partners, and the people you work with and for to find the right solutions for your project and objectives.
  • I work with your favourite agencies or bring in my own who combine their expertise (in digital, design, market research, web development) with mine so that your brand and comms are always the very best they can be.

  • Brand strategy  As your brand consultant, I work with you to shape a brand for your organisation that shows its true colours along with the right tone of voice and messaging so you can really sing. 
  • Communications strategy Through research and consultation, I take a deep look at who you are trying to engage, and I create clear and innovative communications and marketing strategies and plans to engage them.
  • Delivery I deliver on your comms plans too, writing content and working with designers and digital specialists to bring your websites, campaigns, pitches, event materials, brochures to life.
