2019–20 Select Committee activity reviewed by Liaison Committee

The House of Lords Liaison Committee recently (17 July 2020) published its report on Committee activity in 2019–20.

2019–20 has seen the implementation of the review of committees, the appointment of the Public Services Committee, improved internal communications and continued high levels of committee activity. The emphasis on flexibility supported by the review of committees has proved particularly important in responding to the remote working arrangements necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as enabling the House of Lords to move quickly to set up a dedicated committee to investigate the long-term impact of the pandemic.
