APCC response to HMICFRS report on the Police Service’s arrangements for the selection and development of Chief Officers

APCC Police Standards and Leadership Lead, Stephen Mold PFCC, responded to HMICFRS report on the Police Service’s arrangements for the selection and development of Chief Officers

“Police and Crime Commissioners are committed to supporting high quality, professional training for all chief officers, including chief constables.

“We want the widest range of diverse, high quality candidates to apply for all senior roles including the role of chief constable. We are committed to working with the College of Policing and the NPCC on the continuous professional development of people in policing and to ensure there is a constant flow of leadership talent to the chief officer ranks.”
