Applications open for Homeless Link Excellence Awards

Today, we launch our annual Excellence Awards. Our awards celebrate the best of the homelessness and supported housing sectors.
We’re excited to launch the fourth year of the Homeless Link Excellence Awards. The awards are one of the most prestigious in the sector, shining a spotlight on the things we can all be proud of such as providing high quality accommodation options and creating inclusive and compassionate support services. The awards remind us that it really is possible to make a difference in ending homelessness.
Last year’s award winners
Last year’s awards were a tonic to a challenging year and highlighted the incredible work our members did throughout the pandemic. We were extremely pleased to have received over 100 entries across six categories.
We had amazing winners – from the digital engagement of LGBTQ+ Youth by akt, to the ongoing support for parents in Newham by the Magpie Project. Every winner and runner-up highlighted the excellent work our members have been doing to end homelessness and create positive futures for everyone.
This year’s Excellence Awards
This year we have updated the award categories to reflect our new strategic plan Shaping the Future Together. Each category is named after a pillar of our strategy – Home Safe, People First, Prevention Into Action and Stronger Voice.
These new categories recognise the breadth and depth of the work our members do to work towards ending homelessness and achieving positive futures for people who are experiencing homelessness or vulnerably housed – from providing high-quality affordable accommodation to highlighting the true nature and scale of homelessness. So, we hope these new categories can encourage even more of you to get involved this year.
How to enter
We would like to invite you to enter and use the opportunity to raise your profile as an award-winning charity and demonstrate your impact. By submitting your entry, whether or not you end up winning, it is a great chance to remind you and your colleagues what you are proud of and celebrate your hard work.
The awards are open to any organisation that is a member of Homeless Link and we are taking entries from today until 10 am 6th September.
It’s always exciting to see how much of a difference all of our members are making. We look forward to receiving your applications!
