CBI: "Introducing dedicated careers leaders should give careers inspiration much needed prominence in schools"

The CBI has commented on the launch of the Government's Careers Strategy.

Pippa Morgan, CBI Head of Education and Skills, said:

"The launch of the careers strategy is a positive step forward. The focus on employer engagement and enhanced role for the Careers and Enterprise Company are really welcome to help boost opportunities and life chances for all young people.

"Introducing dedicated careers leaders, which the CBI called for, should give careers inspiration much needed prominence in schools. For too long primary schools have been a blindspot for careers and employer engagement so it’s great to see pilots of activity to help raise aspiration in the youngest pupils."
