CBI Northern Ireland responds to Trader Support Service announcement

CBI Northern Ireland have responded to Trader Support Service announcement.

Angela McGowan, CBI Northern Ireland Director, said:

“The CBI very much welcomes any measures which support Northern Irish firms continuing to do business with Great Britain once transition ends.

“NI firms stand ready to support the Government to implement the Trader Support Service by the end of the year. All efforts must be made to engage companies across the NI economy and ensure maximum preparations are made in within transition.

“Whilst today’s announcement is a welcome step, businesses still need to see further details on the implementation of the Protocol. Time is very much of the essence.”
