CIPS Corporate Award Practitioner Programme: Class of 2021

The first ever Welsh public sector Corporate Award practitioner programme has now concluded, with outstanding pass rates across both cohorts for their final assignments (for those who have submitted).

A huge congratulations to the class of 2021!

This year has been like no other and the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we learn dramatically. The move from face to face classroom based sessions to a virtual environment has been a huge success, and we have received lots of positive feedback on this refreshed approach to learning. Over the past 12 months, the students have all shown tremendous resilience and determination to complete their studies and they should feel immensely proud of this achievement.

Carl Thomas, Lead CIPS tutor, Corporate Award:

As the global professional body for the procurement and supply profession, CIPS was delighted to work with Welsh Government on their recent Corporate Award Programme. By providing the opportunity for learners to study the Corporate Award, not only have Welsh Government shown their commitment to driving procurement excellence and delivering value, they have also demonstrated their commitment to upskilling procurement professionals across the Welsh public sector.

I was thrilled to lead this programme and to be able to develop content which was relevant in the context of the Welsh public sector. The students are a credit to their organisations, and the future of public procurement in Wales looks very bright. Well done to each and every one, a diolch am eich holl waith called.
