National Cyber Security Centre
CYBERUK 2018 The National Cyber Security Centre’s Flagship Event
Safer Digital Britain
Where: Manchester Central Convention Complex
When: 10 - 12 April 2018
The National Cyber Security Centre is proud to present CYBERUK 2018 as the Government’s flagship event for cyber security in the UK.
Over three days, it will bring together over 2000 cyber security leaders and professionals from across the UK’s information security community. There will be participants from Government, the Critical National Infrastructure, Industry academia and the third sector.
CYBERUK 2017 set a new standard for cyber security events. Briefings, keynotes and workshops from the main players in the field combined with a focus on networking, far beyond just swapping business cards over a cappuccino.
For 2018, we’re building on that success. The range and quality of speakers and facilitators will be unchanged, but the level of participation and interactivity will be even higher. Our goal is to develop a programme that moves beyond networking towards building a community with a single, clear purpose: to make the UK the safest place to live and work online.
At CYBERUK 2018, you’ll be able to
- hear first-hand how the strategy is evolving
- gain insights on the success to date, and the challenges ahead
- review the current threat landscape and consider how it will evolve
- consider how we can best respond
- clarify the various responsibilities of different players
- contribute your ideas and challenge thinking
- understand the importance of diversity in the cyber security industry
CYBERUK 2018 will feature workshops, challenges and plenty of networking – plus coffee bars and comfy seating throughout the venue. And, yes, that includes the Cyber Games hacking challenges that proved so popular last year.
You’ll find the exhibition hall a very enjoyable place to relax and chat through the collective challenges with your peers. It’s a huge, airy space flooded with natural light – very different to most conference centres.
One destination - Two events - Three days
CYBERUK 2018 is made up of two events over three days.
Days 1 and 2: CYBERUK In Practice is designed for information security professionals, including specialists in the design, development, delivery and procurement of online services and systems.
Day 3: CYBERUK Leadership is the Government’s prime briefing event for cyber security leaders from the public and private sector alike. Speakers will include Ministers, seniors from GCHQ and the NCSC. The event will begin with the very popular Networking Dinner.
The event will be minister-led and will include a wide range of keynote speeches from across the senior leadership community. The NCSC CEO and NCSC Technical Director together with Deputy Directors and senior technical staff will deliver this flagship event.
Plenary and Stream sessions will combine leading representatives from the public and private sector together with the CNI and academia.
Following short, high impact plenary keynotes and debates, delegates will divide into Streams. Each will be chaired by NCSC Deputy Directors or Technical Directors entrusted with shaping and leading the Team’s delivery. There will be dedicated streams for In Practice and for Strategy alike.
Becoming a CYBERUK 2018 sponsor gives you a unique opportunity to position your organisation as an industry leader to many of the most important people in UK cyber security. There is a range of opportunities that will suit every budget, keeping your brand at the forefront of delegates’ minds.
Many sponsorship packages include exhibition space, allowing you to continue the conversation with delegates during formal breaks and between sessions.
