Decarbonising Data - how tech is going for net zero

A write up of our conference looking at the climate impact of the tech sector and what companies are doing to reduce it.

The Prime Minister has announced major investments to help the UK reach net zero emissions and while techUK believes digital tech has a crucial role to play, the tech sector has to understand its own energy and carbon impacts and set a clear pathway to reaching net zero emissions.

To aid this techUK hosted a conference in London Tech Week called 'Decarbonising Data' which had presentations from experts on the overall impact of the sector, scope 3 emissions, cloud and data centre energy as well as leading tech firms setting out their strategies to reduce emissions, set ambitious climate targets and head towards net zero.

The presentations and write up from the sessions can be accessed here: Decarbonising Data: write up , presentations and conclusions.
