Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) - Implementation Update 4
Please find below a letter from Andrew Forzani, Chief Commercial Officer at the MOD about the impending launch of the Defence Sourcing Portal.

Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP) – New Home Page Launch, 5th January 2021
This final update of 2020 follows on from the update I issued on 4th December. You can find all the previous updates here.
I’m pleased to announce that on the 5th January 2021 we will launch the homepage of the new Defence Sourcing Portal.
The web address will be www.contracts.mod.uk, the same address currently used to access the outgoing Defence Contracts Online website.
From the 5th January, we ask that you register on the new platform in readiness for our full launch in February/March 2021.
Registration is simple and is supported in the DSP by an online ‘how to’ video, user guide and 24/7 helpdesk.
Up until full launch in February/March 2021, all opportunities will still be advertised on Defence Contracts Online. Access to that portal will be available via the DSP homepage and there will be no change to the current method of registration, expression of interest or tendering for those opportunities until the full launch of the DSP.
All changes, including the management of opportunities once the DSP is fully live, will be covered in further announcements during January and on the new DSP homepage itself.
Until then, I ask for your support to:
- Register on the DSP from the 5th January in readiness for the full launch, and browse the content on the new homepage
- Continue to participate in our market opportunities listed on the Defence Contacts Online website

From the 5th January 2021 – The current DCO web address (www.contracts.mod.uk) will now direct you to the new DSP home page. All information on supplier registration and viewing opportunities will be on the home page.
From January 2021 – Suppliers to register on new DSP platform in readiness for February/March Go-live.
February/ March 2021 – Platform live for users and new advertisements and tenders to be published on the DSP.
Q3 2021 – Closedown of DCO after all ongoing advertisements and prequalification activities are completed.
