Director General Statement on London Bridge Attack
Statement given by Sir Andrew Parker on the London Bridge Attack.
All of us at MI5 are disgusted by the attack carried out on London Bridge on Friday 29th November. Our thoughts are with the victims, families and all those affected by this senseless act. We have all been struck by the incredible courage shown by members of the public as the attack unfolded, and by the speed and professionalism of the police response. We joined others from across government in observing a minute's silence at 11:00 this morning, to remember the victims.
With the police, our teams here have been working tirelessly since Friday to respond to the attack, and as ever our focus remains on doing all we can to keep the country safe.
