Drug trafficking raids lead to 10 arrests across Merseyside
Officers from the National Crime Agency and Merseyside Police arrested ten people on Thursday as part of an investigation into the distribution of class A drugs and money laundering.
The following individuals were charged this evening and will be appearing at Liverpool Magistrates Court tomorrow morning:
Steven Kelly, aged 43, of Whitfield Road, Walton – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and money laundering offences.
David Seddon, aged 41, of Lunt Road, Thornton – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and money laundering offences.
Michael Moore, aged 31, of Thistleton Close, St Helens – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and money laundering offences.
Michael Richards, aged 33, of Gorsey Lane, Liverpool – charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
In addition, John Middlehurst, aged 44, of Brampton Court, St Helens, and Craig Brownbill, aged 44, of Park Lane, Wirral, were charged earlier with money laundering offences. They will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court on 9 October.
The remaining four individuals arrested – a 49-year-old man from Prestwich, Manchester; a 28-year-old man from Prestwich, Manchester; a 26-year-old man from Litherland, Liverpool; and 29-year-old woman from Walton, Liverpool – have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Over 140 officers were involved in Thursday's early morning raids at addresses across Merseyside.
