ESRC Gender Pay Gap Report 2017

Gender Pay Gap legislation (developed by the Government Equalities Office) introduced in April 2017 requires all employers of 250 or more employees to publish their gender pay gap for workers in scope as of 31 March 2017.

The ESRC has a workforce of less than 250 but all research councils have reviewed their Gender Pay Gap statistics and have agreed to publish their findings ahead of joining UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) on 1 April 2018.

From April 2018, the Economic and Social Research Council will be part of UKRI which will be responsible for future gender pay reporting.
