First Minister announces sponsors for St David Awards
In the week where the finalists of the St David Awards will be revealed, First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones yesterday announced that Valero and Western Power Distribution will sponsor the main awards presentation on Thursday 12 March.
Valero, who sponsored the event in 2014, have come on board for the second year running as lead sponsor for the glittering annual Awards Ceremony, along with Western Power who are generously sponsoring the Awards Reception at the Senedd.
The St David Awards, acknowledge the extraordinary achievements of people in Wales. They were created to recognise the great deeds and contributions made by people from all walks of life.
Speaking about being the Awards Ceremony Lead Sponsor, Stephen Thornton, Public Affairs Manager, Valero Energy said:
"Valero is thrilled to continue its association with the St David Award, now in its second year.
"The achievements celebrated by these awards are an inspiration to all, and show Wales to be a modern, forward-looking nation that recognises and encourages personal success and dedication to others.
