First PRINCE2 Train the Trainer course in North America is a great success

AXELOS held the first of three PRINCE2 Practitioner ‘Train the Trainer’ courses for Accredited Training Organizations (ATOs) last month (26 - 30 January) in Chicago.

These courses have been developed by AXELOS to help accredited trainers get qualified so they are able to offer PRINCE2 training themselves. The aim is to enable training organizations to deliver PRINCE2 Practitioner courses to project management professionals and help them understand how the best practice complements the PMBOK® Guide from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The fully-subscribed session was attended by over 20 trainers. The training was hosted by PRINCE2 Chief Examiner, Michelle Rowland and AXELOS’ PPM Portfolio Manager, Mike Acaster also assisted.

The course was well received by the attendees and we had very positive feedback from trainers, including Elizabeth Hagan, from Deep Creek Center, who said:

“Our trainers [Michelle and Mike] were great. Michelle’s insights into the material and the exam were very helpful

“This course broadened my project management context and I know I will be using the principles in my consulting practice and will enjoy teaching/training when such an opportunity presents itself. “

And Lisa Hodges from CSME, who also took part in the session, commented:

“Michelle Rowland is a fantastic instructor - very impressive in her knowledge, and her delivery.

“I am now a huge PRINCE2 fan. I am very excited to put my new knowledge to use; actually, already have this week - at a client site and at the university class that I teach part time. Can't wait to teach the certification class in a corporate environment.”

There are still places available for AXELOS’ free of charge 'Train the Trainer' courses next month, available on a first come first served basis:
