Four people have been charged with being part of a large scale alleged people smuggling network set up to facilitate illegal migrants from Iraq and Iran to the UK.
The four – Tarik Namik (42) from Oldham, Hajar Ahmed (36) from Manchester, Soran Saliy (39) and Habil Gider (51) both from Stoke - were arrested in a series of National Crime Agency raids in 2018 across Stoke-on-Trent and Manchester.
They were charged yesterday (24 July) with conspiracy to help asylum seekers enter the UK between the 01/05/2017 and the 18/04/2018. All four have been bailed to appear before Manchester City and Salford Magistrates Court on the 20 August 2019
