Four special inquiry committees recommended by the Lords Liaison Committee
The House of Lords Liaison Committee recently (15 March 2019) published its fourth report of the 2017–19 session, in which it recommends to the House four proposals for new special inquiry (formerly ad hoc) committees in 2019–20.
The report will now go to the floor of the House for approval.

Proposals recommended to the House
The Committee recommends the following proposals to the House for appointment in 2019–20:
- Democracy and Digital Technologies
- Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013 (post-legislative scrutiny)
- Food, Poverty, Health and The Environment
- Social and Economic Consequences of the Gambling Industry
