Future-proofing Apprenticeship Funding in England for the 2020s

The Brexit impasse continues. The economy is slowing. And a general election looks likely before the new year. As party conferences come to a close and manifestos are drafted, NCFE and the Campaign for Learning are delighted to publish Future-proofing Apprenticeship Funding in England for the 2020s.

At NCFE, our core purpose is to promote and advance learning across society. Expanding high quality opportunities for young people, increasing upskilling and reskilling to meet the challenges of longer working lives and automation, and developing the resident workforce if and when immigration policies are tightened depending on the outcome of Brexit: apprenticeships are at the heart of these agendas.

It’s with this in mind that the following collection of articles is focused upon the future funding of apprenticeships and ensuring its sustainability.

We’re delighted to introduce a wide ranging and diverse collection of articles by esteemed authors from Association of Colleges, the Resolution Foundation, Confederation of British Industry, British Chambers of Commerce, the TUC, University Vocational Awards Council, the Association of Learning and Employment Providers, London First and University of Manchester.

We invite your consideration and comment on all of the recommendations and articles and look forward to hearing your thoughts!
