Government Communications Service
GCS Campaign of the Month winner December 2020
Congratulations to the communications team at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and The Legal Services are GREAT team at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ), joint winners of December’s Government Communication Service (GCS) Campaign of the Month competition.
Judges commented that both teams demonstrated creativity, pragmatism and innovation.
The CPS communications team has been recognised for delivering the ‘CPS National Awards for Excellence’, which was digitised this year through a user-friendly app, developed with colleagues in the CPS Digital Technology Services team.
Judges were particularly impressed with the large increase in nominations, up 26% from the record set the previous year despite the challenging context of the pandemic, and the team’s personalised approach to the virtual national ceremony, which received outstanding feedback from attendees.
Sandra McKay, Director of Communications at the CPS, yesterday said:
“This year, like so many public servants, CPS colleagues have carried out exceptional work under hugely challenging circumstances. It felt more important than ever to recognise and celebrate their achievements.
I’m extremely proud of the creativity and dedication my team showed when they completely redesigned our annual CPS Awards for Excellence. Not only did they attract more nominations than ever before, but they staged a brilliant virtual event that felt really special and memorable for all those involved.”
The Legal services are GREAT team at MoJ have been awarded for their work on delivering the UK’s first ever virtual trade mission, which aimed to promote UK legal services globally attracting almost 400 delegates across four jurisdictions.
Legal Services are GREAT team.
Judges commended the team on their creativity and ability to deliver this quickly, at low-cost. They were also impressed with the high levels of social media interactivity, with a total of 412k impressions.
Zoë Holder, Head of International Campaigns, MoJ yesterday said:
“This is fantastic news and represents a brilliant achievement for the Legal Services are GREAT team in delivering the MoJ’s first ever UK-Africa virtual trade mission.
“What we have achieved in such a short time on a low-cost budget is testament to our drive and determination to successfully promote the UK legal sector to an overseas market and support economic growth.”
Well done to everyone involved.
