GCS Campaign of the Month winner January 2020

We celebrate January's campaign of the month winner.

Congratulations to the British Army OP SMART Communications team, winners of the GCS Campaign of the month for the ‘British Army Mental Health Fitness and Resilience Communications’ campaign which encourages Army personnel to access the mental health support available to them and use different techniques to develop their mental fitness and resilience.

The campaign used social media to promote the Army’s mental health fitness and resilience programme. Videos series were created to highlight different tools for developing mental resilience and to provide education on mindfulness. The campaign used World Suicide Prevention Day to broadcast a powerful video  showing the sadness and heartbreak felt by a family who lost a husband and father to suicide.

Judges commented that this campaign had ‘clear objectives’, ‘engaging content’ and ‘impressive results’ with a total of 13k soldiers attending a mental health course, treble the attendance on previous programmes.

Congratulations to the team
