GCS has published the Government Communications Plan 2019/20.

The Government Communication Plan sets out GCS’ commitment to produce campaigns and communications to support the Government’s priorities in the year ahead.

The year ahead will be a hugely important time for GCS to support the Government’s clear domestic agenda, delivering on the issues that people care about, alongside the important work as the UK leaves the European Union and our work abroad demonstrating a Global Britain and Northern Ireland.

The plan also sets out the three key challenges that Alex Aiken, Executive Director of Government Communication, set GCS for the year ahead:

• Raising our standards through an ambitious portfolio of improvement programmes;
• Strengthening our democracy through our activity to maintain the Union, tackle disinformation and strengthen electoral integrity; and
• Delivering for our communities through our major campaigns for the year ahead that are necessary to meet the challenges the nation faces in the year ahead.
