Gross misconduct hearing for Lancashire Constabulary officer

A Lancashire Constabulary police constable (PC) is due before a police disciplinary panel following an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) investigation.

PC Oliver Norris, aged 33, was investigated by the IOPC following allegations that he abused his position for sexual purpose in relation to his contact with two women in 2016 and 2017.

Our investigation found evidence of a case to answer, for gross misconduct, for breaching the police Standards of Professional Behaviour.

Lancashire Constabulary agreed with our findings and scheduled a gross misconduct hearing.

The hearing is scheduled for five days beginning today (18 November 2019).
