IPCC appeal for witnesses to Merseyside Police incident

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is appealing for witnesses following an incident that took place in Liverpool city centre in the early hours of Sunday 30 April.

The incident was referred to the IPCC by Merseyside Police following their contact with a man who suffered a head injury.  The incident took place on Church Street, Liverpool at around 2am on Sunday 30 April and there are likely to be a number of witnesses who will have seen what happened.  Paramedics also attended the incident.
