The Internet Service Provider joins the battle against online child sexual abuse imagery

Idaq Networks, an internet service provider which operates a regional Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network and provides Public Wi-Fi services, has joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF). By becoming a Member, Idaq Networks has committed to ‘do the right thing’ and join the fight to help prevent internet users from stumbling across disturbing images and videos of children being sexually abused.

Idaq Networks provides Ultrafast wireless internet access to businesses, public areas, public venues and multi-tenanted buildings with unlimited data transfer and a service that is encrypted using the latest technologies. The tech company operates from their own data centre facility in Sheffield, with bases in Leeds, London and Manchester. 

Idaq Networks, the latest IWF Member company, will use our URL List to protect their customers from stumbling across child sexual abuse imagery online. The IWF URL List contains a regularly updated list of illegal webpages, that have been identified by our world class Analysts. This list is available to all IWF Members, who use it to block access to these disturbing webpages, while we work internationally with partners to have them removed. The webpages included on the list have been manually assessed by our Analysts, so that IWF Members can be totally confident that this illegal content has been professionally analysed against rigorous legal guidelines.

Idaq Networks supplies a range of internet services to a number of companies, ranging from small personal websites to large organisations operating online. Their customer base spans the globe, including Europe, Asia and the US. Idaq Networks is also an ISPA and Nominet Member.
