Major £12.5m education project awarded using NEPO207 Building Construction Works

Sunderland City Council has awarded Kier a £12.5million contract to create a new special education needs (SEN) school for disabled children.

The current facility in Sunningdale, Sunderland will be demolished and replaced with a 4000m² new build school. The ambitious project is set to commence in the coming months and is due to be completed in Summer 2022.

The appointment was made through NEPO207 Building Construction Works, which is used by North East local authorities and other public sector organisations in the region, including universities and housing associations. Further information about the solution can be found on our website.
