Major redevelopment project awarded using NEPO207 Building Construction Works

Sunderland City Council has awarded Esh Construction a £9.1million contract to improve Parsons Vehicle Workshop and Depot. The existing workshop in Sunderland will be demolished and replaced with a new council depot building in the coming months.

The appointment was made through NEPO207 Building Construction Works, which is used by North East local authorities and other public sector organisations in the region, including universities and housing associations.

Laura Kyle, Category Specialist at NEPO, yesterday said:

“NEPO207 Building Construction Works provides North East public sector organisations with a compliant route to procure design and build projects. Sunderland City Council’s appointment of Esh will achieve positive outcomes beyond the construction site, through local jobs and community initiatives that deliver real social value.”

Regional public sector buyers are able to access NEPO207 Building Construction Works by award or further competition. You can find out more about the solution here: https://www.nepo.org/solutions/building-construction-works
