Minister for Education and Welsh Language confirms appointments to the Qualifications Wales Board

The Minister for Education and Welsh Language, Jeremy Miles, has today announced two appointments to the Qualifications Wales Board.

The two appointments are as follows:

  • Julie Brannan – is appointed as a member for a three year term and commenced on 1 September 2021.
  • John Latham – is appointed as a member for a three year term commencing on 7 December 2021.

Education Minister Jeremy Miles said:

I am pleased to announce these two appointments to the Board of Qualifications Wales.

Over the next three years Qualifications Wales has a vital role to play both in supporting our response to and recovery from COVID-19 and in enabling our reform journey through the delivery of new qualifications for Curriculum for Wales.

The Board undertakes an important role in ensuring that Qualifications Wales has effective leadership, has a well-defined strategic direction, and undertakes activities efficiently and in accordance with its aims, objectives and targets.
