NEPO has appointed Corona Energy as the sole supplier of its new Gas Supply solution. The solution, which is open nationally for use by the public sector, provides direct and immediate access to Corona Energy for the provision of both fixed price gas contracts and flexibly traded baskets (via a direct award). It has been procured in accordance with Public Contract Regulations (PCR15) and will commence supply from 1st April 2020 for up to six years.

NEPO currently has over 500 Associate Members around the UK accessing its range of solutions, including an extensive energy portfolio. NEPO Associate Members are able to directly award to Corona Energy under NEPO’s new solution and access the many benefits enjoyed by the NEPO / Corona partnership.

NEPO’s Gas Solution provides a number of different options to NEPO Associate Members for the purchase of gas, each of which can be tailored to an organisation’s risk appetite, need for budget certainty and individual service requirements. Since April 2019, gas commodity prices in the wholesale market have been falling. Contracting authorities whose gas supply contracts are coming to an end, are encouraged to act swiftly to take advantage of competitive gas commodity costs by either entering into a fixed price contract or joining a flexibly-traded NEPO basket, governed by a robust and successful NEPO Risk and Purchasing Strategy.
