NEPO awards £120M contract for Temporary Agency Staff to GRI
NEPO has appointed GRI to deliver a vendor-neutral managed service for temporary agency staff. The solution will be used by NEPO Member Authorities and the wider public sector via NEPO’s associate membership scheme.
It is anticipated that the solution will deliver initial savings of over £650K, with further savings expected throughout the life of the contract. In addition, GRI will provide public sector organisations with access to real-time management information that offers improved spend control, as well as user-friendly systems to facilitate day-to-day management of agency appointments.
The solution will go live from November 2018 for a three-year period, with the option to extend for a further two years.
Alison Simpson, Regional Category Specialist at NEPO said:
“NEPO consulted with public sector buyers, HR leads and suppliers to develop a specification that meets public sector requirements and captures industry best-practice. This groundwork has resulted in a vendor-neutral solution that offers buyers choice and value-for-money.
“A further positive aspect of our partnership with GRI are our plans to maximise social value outcomes through the creation of local jobs, and developing relationships with Job Centres and other organisations to promote recruitment opportunities for disadvantaged groups and the long-term unemployed.”
