NHS Digital programmes nominated for digital award

NHS Digital’s Digital Delivery Centre has been nominated for a DigiLeaders 100 award for its work on the National Record Locator and NHS 111 online.

The two NHS Digital programmes have been nominated in the Public Service Innovation of the Year category, which celebrates technology that has improved national or local public services.

The National Record Locator has been set up to allow clinicians and NHS organisations securely locate and access patient records across the healthcare system.

Already it has been used in ambulance services and mental health trusts to help paramedics better treat people who are experiencing a mental health crisis.

NHS 111 online allows patients to get urgent healthcare online. It also helps to manage increasing demand on 111 telephone services. 

Members of the public have four weeks to vote online for their favourite achievement in each category.

The winners will be announced on 20 June.
