NHS SBS has joined a new strategic partnership launched today by digital transformation experts Sopra Steria and leading anti-knife crime charity The Ben Kinsella Trust.

The aim is to develop digital and practical solutions to help tackle youth knife crime in Britain. This includes an immersive virtual reality platform, which will improve the experience of thousands of young people every year who access the educational workshops run by the Trust.

As part of Sopra Steria's Tech for Good campaign, NHS SBS will help to provide digital expertise and specialist advice, whilst also supporting the Trust through donations.

The Ben Kinsella Trust is one of the leading anti-knife crime charities in the UK. It was set up following the tragic murder of Ben Kinsella in 2008 and exists to campaign against knife crime and educate young people about its dangers.

David Morris, NHS SBS Managing Director, said:

"All too often our NHS hospitals deal with the devastating impact of knife crime, so we really welcome the opportunity to support the life-saving work of The Ben Kinsella Trust.

"We look forward to helping to find innovative digital solutions to better educate and inform young people about the dangers of carrying knives."
