Nationwide Community Grants – open for applications
Local community housing projects and charities are being invited to submit applications for grants of between £10,000 and £50,000 to support projects which seeks to help people into a home, prevent people from losing their homes, and support people to thrive within their homes.
Applications are open in the South West, South East, London, the East and Central regions of England. Interested groups can visit www.nationwide.co.uk/communityfunding to find out more about the programme.
To date the Nationwide Community Grants programme has awarded grants of over £7 million to over 180 housing related projects, and aims to grant over £20 million through the programme over 5 years.
A Community Board, which is comprised of local Nationwide members and employees and supported by local community foundations and housing experts, will review the grant applications and award grants of up to a £50,000. The Board and Nationwide branches within the region will also be providing time and expertise to these charities.
As an additional note: one thing we’re particularly keen on seeing is more applications which take creative or innovative approaches to solving the housing crisis at a local level, which may not have a huge track record or been tried and tested extensively before. Our hope is to support these projects to potentially become scaleable projects for the future.
Applications will close on 25 November 2019.
