Network Day - See You There?

Following on from the success of our Facing the Future - Together events earlier in the year, we’ve organised an Online Centres Network event just before Get Online Week - and we’d love to see you there!

Taking place on Friday 29 September 2017 from 10am - 3pm at the Friends Meeting House in the heart of Manchester, the event is open to all Online Centres staff, volunteers and Centre Managers, with tickets priced at just £10.

If you’d like to get in a little extra training for you or your staff before the UK’s biggest digital inclusion campaign kicks off - or if you’d like to share some Get Online Week ideas with other centres - book your place today to make sure you don’t miss out.

Dedicated training

Included in the ticket price are three workshops hosted by an industry professional. If you’ve previously taken part in our webinar training, or if you’re completely new to these concepts, this is an ideal opportunity for all, as you’ll be able to speak with the experts face-to-face.

Here’s an overview of what to expect:

Getting The Most Out Of Social Media - Jonathan Gilbert (Social Media 4G)

Jonathan is an expert in using social media. In this session, he’ll take you on a journey into the world of digital marketing, with practical examples of how to utilise social media, web design and email. You can ask him any burning questions that you might have and he’ll be on hand throughout the day to offer help and advice, so you can develop your centre’s marketing strategy.

Successful Bid Writing To Ensure Funding Success - Sally Deith

A regular on the Online Centres Network training webinar roster, this is your chance to take part in an interactive workshop with Sally on how you can improve your funding streams and give every bid the best chance for success. Sally will talk, and answer questions about how to effectively prepare and write winning funding bids.

How to run engaging sessions using Learn My Way - Aniela Kaczmarczyk (Good Things Foundation)

As Good Things Foundation’s Head of Learning, Aniela knows Learn My Way inside out. She’ll be guiding attendees through Learn My Way, looking at the ways in which the content can be used in one-to-one and group sessions. This will be an excellent workshop for both beginners and advanced tutors.

Networking with other centres

Whether you’re new to the network or if you’ve been working with us for years, we’d love for you to come along, meet others and share your interesting and innovative ideas. Why not share your plans for Get Online Week? Share success stories from the year? Or discuss challenges you have faced and share the invaluable insight you gained from tackling them? This is a great opportunity to really take advantage of the ‘network effect’.

Meet your Network Specialist

Helping out on the day will be our Network Specialists Jonathan and Alison. If you’d like to discuss the ways in which we communicate with the network or the training that we offer, don’t hesitate to ask.

Tickets cost just £10.00 per person and come with refreshments, light lunch, and access to the workshops.
